Specialists in African and Madagascan Orchids. Common and rare species, all seed grown; such plants establish better in cultivation than wild-collected plants and also, of course, are better for conservation.
We do not sell flasks.
Many people do not try to grow African orchids because they believe that these orchids must need a lot of heat - after all, Africa is a hot continent. This may be so, but few, if any, orchids grow in the hot places. They grow in forest and woodland, on hills and mountains, usually where there is frequent mist even in the dry season and the temperature is rarely very high.
All the orchids on our list will grow at intermediate temperatures and some even prefer it cooler than that.
Availability of some species is limited as I am winding down the business and am no longer getting in new stock.
